Interrupted Thoughts...

Bad Day

Talk about having a bad day. At one time or another we have all been in a situation in a store when we might have knocked something off a shelf and broken a bottle of ketchup or something made of glass in a department store. Remember telling the kids “Don’t touch” or recall having that said to you as a kid?

A woman was touring the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City when she lost her balance and fell into an $80 million Picasso painting, leaving a six inch tear. The 6 foot by 4 foot painting was done by Picasso in 1906.

The tear was in the lower right corner and not considered to be in a focal point of the painting. Art curators felt the tear could be repaired without leaving any blemishes.

I can just hear the museum staff. “Give us a couple million to cover damages and you’re good to go. We can make it look like new.”

Wow, that’s what you call having a bad day. I wonder if she finished touring the museum?
